Plan on attending the upcoming Frontier Adventure
and Fall Trace. This will be the premier FCF event in 2009 for
the Jedediah Strong Smith chapter. The Frontier Adventure will
start promptly at 12:00 am on Friday, September 25, with the Adventure
ending Saturday morning. The start of the Spring Trace will be
as soon as the morning sun warms you out of bed on Saturday. Get
ready for the Rio Grande Run with those challenging bonus
events. We will have the potluck, love blanket, praise, worship,
and great fellowship. The Buckskin Adventure will start at 11:00
am on Saturday, September 26.

Frontier Adventure
The Frontier Adventure is a series of events
which are used to determine if a candidate is qualified for FCF
membership. A candidate will have an opportunity to engage in a
number of required frontier skills -
flint & steel fire starting, trap setting, hawk throwing, and
knife throwing. The candidate will also gain knowledge about
frontier cooking and shelters, common outfits present on the
frontier, and highlights in the life of Jedediah Smith.
