2009 Jedediah Strong Smith
The year 2009 is shaping up to be a full year of events for the Jed Smith chapter of FCF. The chapter will select new scouts in May, who in turn will compete for National Scout and Territorial Scout honors in July. We will determine which chapter members are skilled enough to be recognized as a 'Skill Champion'. The chapter will have a large presence at the combined Mountainmen / Plainsmen Territorial Rendezvous in July. Late in the year, we'll add new members to the chapter rolls at the Frontier Adventure. Plan now to participate in as many of these events as possible. More info - Oak.

A specially designed vest patch has been produced and will be available to chapter members in 2009. The patch is 5 inches in diameter and will be a very special addition to any chapter member’s awards vest. Six recognition rockers will also be available to those members that have shown exceptional achievement in the FCF program. The six recognition rockers will be Buckskin, Wilderness, Trekker, Free Trapper, Chapter Scout and Skill Champion. To purchase the vest patch - Oak.

In May, the Chapter will conduct a Scout competition in order to select the next Youngbuck to serve as Chapter Scout.
