2009 proved to be quite a year for the Jed Smith chapter as we completed the first annual Chapter Championships, had a fantastic showing at the Territorial Rendezvous and added to the chapter rolls at the Frontier Adventure. I look forward to the schedule of events for 2010 as the chapter will continue to grow in the fellowship of its members. It has been some time since I have looked upon a year of FCF events with so much excitement. Look forward to the Chapter Championships, the Frontier Adventure and the Fall Trace.

Make every effort to try and make it to one of these events. It is essential that we as Oldtimers take a Youngbuck under our wing and mentor them in the ways of giving, serving, and solid Christian principles. I challenge you to make a Youngbuck your priority this year. Likewise, Youngbucks should not hesitate to turn to an Oldtimer for advice, instruction and encouragement.

Chapter Championships
The Range
Saturday, May 8, 2010

Have you ever wondered who is the best shot in the chapter? Do you think you can stick a hawk or knife no matter the conditions? Do you think your skills in the smoke-pole arena are second to none? Well, we found out last May. We determined exactly who are the most skilled mountainmen in the chapter. You will have an opportunity on May 8 to become a new Skill Champion in 2010 or defend your title if you are a 2009 Skill Champion. The top scoring Oldtimer and Youngbuck in each skill event will be recognized as a ‘Skill Champion’ and will receive a special patch to be attached to an award’s vest. The top overall scoring Oldtimer and Youngbuck will receive a free Jed Smith Chapter Vest patch. More Info
